Privacy, consent, and staying safe

Review sharing, browser permissions, and personal boundaries.

Check what you share #

Before saving a reflection, photo, or message, decide what you are comfortable storing and sharing. Check the feature's controls and current partner connection. Different features use content differently; linking does not mean everything has the same visibility.

Control memory use #

In Profile, review Weave Memory Sharing: the default, partner overrides, and individual observations. Read the descriptions of Ask, Auto, and All before changing them.

These controls describe using allowed context in Sage's replies, separately from showing a match a memory list. Revisit your choices when your comfort or relationship changes.

Choose browser permissions #

  • Microphone: for voice features you choose.
  • Camera: for live photos when you proceed.
  • Location: for proximity and distance filtering.
  • Notifications: requires browser or device support and permission.

Set boundaries with other people #

  • Do not share sign-in links, pairing codes, financial details, or a home address with a match.
  • Choose a public place for a first meeting, arrange your own transport, and tell someone you trust your plan.
  • You do not owe someone a photo, conversation, or date. Stop if you feel pressured.
  • For harassment or safety concerns, stop engaging and contact support with the minimum details needed. Avoid forwarding intimate content unless needed.

Get the right help #

Support can help with app or account concerns. Interleave chat is not an emergency response service. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services or someone who can assist now.
