Weave

From a conversation to a date

Understand messages, mutual interest, live photos, and date decisions.

Start with a conversation #

Open the conversation from its match. Use a suggested starter or write an introduction in the message field, then send it. Where voice controls are offered, review microphone permission before using them.

Follow the conversation's current status and remaining-time indicator. Do not assume that every introduction stays open indefinitely.

Choose whether to continue #

  1. Read the conversation and decide whether you would like to continue.
  2. Use the like-conversation action when you want to move forward.
  3. Wait for the other person's choice. The live photo step becomes available after both people like the conversation.

Review the live photo step #

The screen asks each person to take a live photo before the final date decision. Read its consent and timing instructions, allow camera access if you choose to proceed, and follow the capture prompt. Both people must complete the required step before the reveal can finish.

Waiting for match's live photo means the next step depends on the other person. Do not repeatedly capture photos to force the process forward.

Make your final date decision #

After the reveal, the app asks whether you want a date. Both people need to choose yes for the date process to continue. If you have already decided, the waiting message means the other decision is still needed.

Read the final status and scheduling details afterward. A conversation or mutual yes alone is not a confirmed reservation.

Check the plan in Dates #

  1. Open Dates to review scheduled or confirmed plans.
  2. Check the person, venue, date, time, and status. Clarify missing details before travelling.
  3. Use Add to calendar where offered and check the imported time.
  4. Make your own travel and safety arrangements. Confirm a reservation or ticket directly with the venue or organizer when needed.
